Psyllium or others: Get labs done to determine the cause of constipation. Low thyroid can cause it and u correct that w thyroid meds. Meanwhile u can try prune juice, or psyllium ( metamucil) is pretty good. Others include senna or cola e. Try whatever works best for you. Everyone is different. Also eat more fiber. First treat with benadryl, (diphenhydramine) then find and remove the cause of the hives.  If all this fails, see your pediatrician.

Formula fed babies usually have a more predictable pattern of daily stools. If stools are getting hard, i often try full strength prune juice, 1oz once or more/d.Takes about 3d to get things moving.

The answers to these questions are necessary to determine true constipation in a baby which is quite rare.
