Rinse: Boric acid merely acts as a rinse and may provide comfort.  Most eye infections are viral and run their course with our without treatment.  The boric acid solution may give added comfort in some cases.

: This sounds like a pretty serious problem, maybe an internal eye infection (endophthalmitis), which could damage the eye and risk blindness. It isn't necessarily related to snorting heroin or anything else. He should return to a doctor immediately like ER or urgent care clinic. He may need consultation with an ophthalmologist, infectious diseases specialist, and/or neurologist. Don't delay!

: If your doc is right then the blurriness was from the film which covers the clear part of the eye (cornea) due to infection. Once that is gone you should be fine.

If it's the white of the eye(conjunctivitis), antibiotic ophthalmic ointment is prescribed. An ophthalmologist is best to consult for diagnosis and treatment.

Your tissue likely had an allergic response to the material used to attach the lashes.A simple eye wash and or artificial tears can help you in the near term and avoid using the lashes. If allergic,it will improve slowly,if infected this should help until you are seen.

Infection is very rare and does cause redness but usually much pain and dramatically lowers the vision.  Discuss this with your treating ophthalmologist immediately if you have any concerns.
