help please! could crusty swollen eyelids be csused by a cold?

The eyes ; a cold: You can definitely have a secondary eye infection caused by the same virus that causes a cold.  This would cause crusting and swelling of your eyelids.  Typically, the eye infection will improve when the cold gets better.  Keep your eyelids clean to help reduce the symptoms.

Several things: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person.  He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.

spent all day crying yestrdy .i woke up today with my lower eyelids puffy swollen and crusty, and a little itchy..can excess crying cause pink eye?

Eyelid edema: Following intense emotional situations with crying, runny nose, and lots of wiping eyelids and nose secretions, the eyelids often swell, eyes look red, and the ocular surface may be slightly irritated. Mucous is generated by the eye in response to the irritation. Sometimes contamination can be introduced into the eye with all the wiping. Not usually an infection results, but if worse, see eye doc.

how to properly clean it? the eye lid is so swollen, can't open eye.  tears are drying and making the eyelids sticky and crusty.

also red section on side of eyeball. will this clear up?

See Ophthalmology: I'm concerned that you need an eye exam with an eye specialist to make sure your globe (eyeball) was not ruptured, rule out an orbital fracture to make sure your vision is safe and to evaluate and treat an eye infection you may have developed. An eye doctor is needed to look deep into your eye and evaluate your retina too. Go to ER that has ophthalmology asap please.

i am experiencing  rash on face, fever, swollen lip, swelling around eyes, rash on back, thigh rash and rash (quality: itchiness, blisters, crusty, bumpy, red or bluish purple) . the following also describes me: eyelid swelling. what should i do?

SEE A DR!!!: Preferably a skin specialist. When you go, bring with you any meds, vitamins, herbs, pills of any sort that you have used in the past several weeks.

Eyelid: You may be developing a sty. A small eyelash abcsess. Soak it with hot compresses. Should be just a minor problem.

Eye Symptoms: you either have severe allergies or some type of infection.  It is unlikely for it to be allergic as it is only one eye.  You need to be evaluated by your doctor.
