my illness started with a bad headache and a sore throat. after two days of taking advil, my headache went away but my sore throat stayed and red, pimple-like bumps were forming all over my hands, feet, and face. is there a way to cure this?

Doctor can check: A sore throat can be evaluated by a primary care doctor  to see what the cause might be. Sometimes it is a strep throat bacterial infection (antibiotics would be needed to treat strep). Other possibilities include viral infections such as Hand-Foot-Mouth disease or Mononucleosis (mono), a tonsillar abcess, throat ulcers, etc...  The doctor has to look at the throat and rash to figure things out.

Don't do it: Please forgive my frankness. This is the 21st century. All acne is treatable by today's science. Folk cures are at best adjuncts, at worst impediments to getting you help with a chronic disease that is a serious personal and professional liability. If topical benzoyl peroxide fails after 2 weeks, please get with a scientific physician for topical or systemic rx.

ADENITIS ?: You need a diagnosis? If you feel fine it could only be a small node infection.  Sometimes  enlarged node can be the first sign of. Hodgkins disease, tuberculosis, etc so it is best seen by your md.

Accepted Answer

No: You cannot erase scars.  Poor scars can be improved through the following methods:

1) scar massage
2) silicone sheeting (a kind of silicone tape you where over the scar)
3) steroid injections
4) laser treatment (helps remove coloring)
5) scar revision (removing the scar and starting over).

No: You can use over the counter rinses such as Orajel or Peroxyl as needed, and follow up with your primary care provider within 1 week if not improved, I hope this helps.

hello i read somewhere that taking spirilolactone with ibuprofen is bad? i take spirilolactone 100 mg once a day for acne and ibuprofen once a day only when needed. thank you.

Avoid ibuprofen: Before taking spironolactone, tell your doctor if you also use ibuprofen. You may need dose adjustments or special tests in order to safely take both medications together. If you are receiving this combination drink plenty of water. Blood pressure and kidney function should be monitored as well. If you can avoid taking ibuprofen and take acetaminophen instead, do so.

had pimples on my face, i crushed those by fingernails now there are black spots. i tried betnovaten but it's not working. which cream will remove it?

No crush treatment: thank u for your question.  It would be nice to see a picture, but these black spots could be increase pigment as result of betnovate or healing tissues. There are many options yet.  Stop using betnovate and see dermatologist.  There are pills and creams that could help with further pimples.  Do not crush them yourselves.

is it safe to take ibuprofen 600mg to 800mg if i took spironalactone 25mg about 20 hours ago for acne? i am in severe pain so i stopped taking the spironolactone so i could take ibuprofen. how long do i need to wait?

No: Both zithromax and biaxin (clarithromycin) are macrolids and have similar spectrum best to not takr zithromax and use biaxin (clarithromycin) for this.
