Stools: These are probable undigested or partially digested food fragments. If you continue to have mucous and loose watery stools it would be a good idea to see a doctor and submit to a stool exam along with providing a full detailed history and an exam of yourself. Stomach flu? : Sounds like you might have a viral gastroenteritis that started off as an upper viral infection. Drink plenty of fluids and make sure you consume some salty broth to compensate for the lose stools. If it doesn’t clear up by end of week then go to doctor to get stool studies and checked for a bacterial gastroenteritis. You might be lactose intolerant during the acute loose stools but eat yogurt ok

No worries: Hi
I don't think you need to worry about bugs living in your intestinal tract. If the bug was alive and moving around, I would suspect that it got in there from the bathroom or around the cracks of the toilet seat. Insects are not known to be able to live and breed inside the human digestive tract. Hope this helps

If he: Is one year old, it may be little more than a food that didn't agree with him, or a virus. If he's younger, closer to 2-3 months, it could be milk protein allergy.

Anal discharge: Could just be inflamed hemorrhoids, but at age 44, you should see a colon &amp; rectal specialist for further evaluation. Most likely that evaluation would be an office exam to check the hemorrhoids, check the stool for occult blood and probably colonoscopy.
