i'm in duphaston, 1x2x21. will i gain weight because of it? is sex ok when i'm taking the meds? i get cramps whenever i have sex & it bothers me. thnx

Dydrogestone.: The most commonly reported adverse drug reactions of patients treated with dydrogesterone in clinical trials of indications without estrogen treatment are migraines/headache, nausea, menstrual disorders and breast pain/tenderness.  There have been no major toxicities reported and the major side-effects have been menstrual irregularities.  See a gynecologist and get examined.  This should not be.

Pelvic cramps: Pelvic cramps are complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.  It may or may not have anything to do with ovulation

i have pcod & ttc with irregular cycle. lmp- 11th mar.had duphaston for 10 days from 30 mar - 8 apr. been 8 days and hv not got periods still. tested on 5 apr & hcg negative. got cramps 6 days back. do i need to wait for periods or can u advice?

: "PCOD" (polycystic ovarian disease)  causes irregular to absent ovulation.  Duphaston may cause withdrawal bleeding, but does usually not increase fertility.  Ovulation induction can be successful, so get a referral to a fertility physician who can monitor and add additional testing.  Cramps may indicate onset of withdrawal bleeding from Duphaston, but not pregnancy.

got pco. i am 4 days late. i am taking duphaston. have backache, stomach cramp, stomach bloated, gas, brown discharge, moody.hcg -ve. wht is the reason?

Premenstrual: These are premenstrual symptoms which can be exaggerated in pts with conditions like pco.  In addition, another condition, endometriosis can cause as well.  Basically the Progesterone which is high in your body right now, as well as inflammatory neurotransmitters, like prostaglandins, are the cause.  An anti-prostaglandin, like ibuprofen, is your best medication to treat.

PCO: You did not say how often you are taking that medication. If you are taking it on a daily basis ir just for 5, 10 or 15 days. Always consider pregnancy if you missed your period. If pregnancy, it might be too early to show a positive pregnancy test. However, depending on how you are taking that med, periods might be normal or very light. More info is needed to help you more.

i have done my iui on 31st oct. i was on duphaston from 1st nov for 2 weeks. i have brown discharge 2 weeks after iui. is this implantation bleeding or normal periods ?
i had tender breasts, bloating, but all these have disappeared? i have mild cramp?

A person can't tell: Wait. A positive pregnancy test can tell a woman that prior spotting was actually implantation spotting. It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result about 3 weeks after IUI (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period.

pregnant 5w..i take prontogest, duphastone, folic acid and spazmocure when needed..i'm really scared of the cramp it's strong somtimes..what can i do ?

No much: It's normal to feel sharp cramping in early pregnancy.  You're definitely doing all the right things, that's for sure!  keep doing what you're doing and try to do some light exercise, that may help relieve some stress/pressure.  Get plenty of rest too.  If you are going to miscarry (which definitely hope not), there's not much you can do in first trimester.  Light exercise is the best, e.g. Walking.

Not necessarily: Cramps, by themselves, are not necessarily a sign of something wrong; we see this commonly in patients that go on to have a normal pregnancy. Cramps can sometimes be associated with a miscarriage especially if there is bleeding. I assume you have a history of pregnancy loss based on the drugs you are taking. Keep your doctor informed and tests can be done to evaluate the health of the pregnancy.
