No: Chronic bad taste in the mouth is usually a result of sinus disease, gum disease, or acid reflux (stomach acid coming up into the mouth.)  medications can cause this, as can nutritional supplements. Zinc deficiency can also cause this.  Very rarely, cancers of the mouth or throat can cause a bad taste in the mouth, but other symptoms would be expected.

Need for examination: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining the lesions. If the lesions have persisted for more than a couple of weeks, it would be prudent to see your doctor.

3 days ago, my 3 mm-wide canker sore in the mouth closed up. however, i can still see a white line on the surface of my skin where it closed and the area is still red since then. does this count as nonhealing sore that can be a sign of cancer?

Cancer: Cancerous lesions will not "close up" and appear to be healing. A non healing sore will remain the same or enlarge in size. Unless you have predisposing factors (like using chewing tobacco or smoking), it was probably just an ulceration. But to ease your mind, maybe your dentist should take a look.

i'm 18 and have on both sides white patches on the side of my mouth and i'm worried about oral cancer or throat cancer no risk factors? and also have skin on the side of my mouth that looks like it's on my tonsil is that also a sign of cancer?

Please get checked: Your dentist needs to see this problem and advise you.  At eighteen, it is unlikely to be cancer.  You may be chewing your cheek of having a reaction to certain foods.  Go and get it looked at please!

Depends: All black spots are not cancers or melanoma, but it they change in shape, size or color, they need to be evaluated by a doctor.

could my neck lump be a sign of cancer?  i have a pretty big lump that is visible on my left side especially if i turn my head.  i am 21 years old cur

Benign nodule : Common surface nodules on the neck include cysts and lipomas. They may grow larger or be painful. However there are some nodules that may be cancerous. See a dermatologist for an evaluation.

Can't tell here: White abnormalities ( not just taste buds) should be seen by a dentist or md (perhaps ear, nose, throat doc). Cancer unlikeky at your age. Get examined.

No: Everybody has a few lymph nodes palpable in the neck. Since my strep throat as a second year med student, the one under my chin has been the size of a gorbanzo bean. Dozens of worried  young adults have palpated it and been reassured. If your node is not growing, is not stony-hard, and isn't fixed to the surounding structures, ignore it.

hey, i have pairs of pea sized lymph nodes all over my body. i also have a pair of pea sized immovable lymph nodes at the back of my head in my occipital region. none of my nodes have changed at all over a 6 month period. is this a sign of cancer?

Non-specific.: While any new symptoms, no matter what, deserves an investigation, a bad taste in the mouth would be a rather non-specific finding and would not be directly and specifically indicative of cancer by itself.
