forgot to mention in an earlier consult that mucus i coughed up/vomited tonight was laced with blood. have exacerbated asthma - blood concerning?
i regularly cough up thick sticky mucus but not usually with red tinge.

Depends: The importance would depend on amount and origin. A little color can originate from your throat , back of the nasal passages or airway due to the mechanics of retching or coughing hard as it traumatizes the structures. This is rarely more than small amounts &amp; wouldn't give big clots. This would self heal. Any more would require an evaluation to be sure.

Post nasal drip: Your problem is not in your lungs, it is either in your nose or sinuses. Get tested for allergies and checked for chronic sinusitis. See an allergist.

12 year old started with dry asthma cough and progressed to mucous cough. mucous thick white and sticky and moved to nose block. ige and esonophil high. no remedies worked.could it be allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (abpa) ?

: You don't mention what treatments have been administered. Mucolytics like guaifnesin, bronchodilator or corticosteroid inhalers,antibiotics? I recommend consulting a pulmonologist or an allergist with a special interest in treatment of asthmatics.

Follow up with your : Gyn . I won't worry much. Could be from hormonal imbalance , ovulation .Vaginal infection / yeast has to be considered. Hope u feel better!

Careful monitoring!: If is only a cough and do not have a history of asthma, is worth staying at home and do social distancing, monitor your symptoms for fever, shortness of breath with activity or with talking. Use meds that can help with symptoms, a cough syrup, plenty of fluids. If symptoms change you might need testing.

Throat mucus: Are you in an excessively dry environment from air conditioning or dry heat at home, in work or in school.? You may also be allergic to something in your environment like dust collecting articles.. To thin out the mucus, drink at least 2 quarts of noncaffeinated liquids daily. Irrigate your nasal passages with salt water and, if needed, take some Guaifenesin which liquifies mucus.
