Circumvallate papill: You have just discovered one of your taste buds: called the circumvallate  papillae.  There are about 9 of them back there on the dorsum (top of) the tongue.  Check the anatomy pictures.  They are arranged in an upside v fashion.  Good luck.  Congrats !

It : It sounds like you are dealing with a streptococcal pharyngitis (strep throat). You will need to see your doctor for a rapid strep test, exam, and treatment. If it is strep then you will need antibiotics for at least 7 days. Im the meantime you can take Ibuprofen for pain and gargle with warm salt water. 
Please seek medical care right away.

at the end of may i was admitted to hospital with pnuemonia. i have since recovered but this morning i coughed up blue phlegm. it stuck to my tongue.

This is unusual: You should consult your doctor in regards to this, as blue sputum is quite unusual. It either means you have inhaled/swallowed something that is coloring your sputum blue, as in blue dye.  Alternatively, you could have a bacteria known as Pseudomonas which can produce a blue color to your sputum.

Chronic bronchitis: Smokers are more likely to cough at night and first thing in the morning because the smoke damages the lungs ability to clean itself so mucus sits during periods of inactivity,  becomes discolored, and then is coughed out.  If the  green mucus is recent consider viral illness or pneumonia.

Green: phlegm may mean you have a tracheobronchitis  which is often due to PNEUMOCOCCUS a BACTERIA which may appear green in mucous!

You may need a short course of antibiotics at this point!

Call your PCP  (Primary Care Provider) as soon as practicable!
