Allergies or cold: Could be either. Try an oral antihistamine in addition to intranasal steroid spray. If symptoms improve in about a week, probably a cold

Probably infection: Allergies generally do not cause body aches. Any viral infection could be responsible.

Sounds like a cold: This is pretty typical as the early signs of a URI in an infant. As long as they stay on their regular pattern of activities including feeding & rest, this can be monitored. If the infants playful activities decline, feeding drops off & or they have obvious breathing difficulty, an evaluation is warrented.

Allergies vs Cold: It sounds like you could have one of two things going on- a cold or allergies. Your symptoms are consistent with seasonal allergies, hitting you all at once, which is no fun. You might try an over the counter med like claritin, (loratadine) zyrtec, or Allegra to see if this helps. You may also need prescription medications to help control your symptoms. If it continues past 1-2 weeks, see your doctor.

URI: Sound like you have the common cold. The eyes produce tears constantly and the stuffy nose prevents the tears from draining into the throat causing your eyes to be watery. Take restn and drink a lot of fluids.

Possible: Mold allergy can cause all of your symptoms but need testing to be certain.  One helpful hint is that your symptoms would improve or resolve within a day after leaving the house.  Regardless, you need to stay out of the affected area (which needs be isolated) until the mold and water problem has been fixed.

Seasonal flu: It is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. If there is no improvement or sore throat is severe or lasts longer than another week, or you are getting joint pain; see your pcp for evaluation. Hope it helps.

just found black mold in room. son gets sick every 2 weeks and bf has itchy watery eyes and bad cough. is all this caused by the mold?

Hard to say: Take him somewhere else for a few days to see if his symptoms persist.  If they stop, then he is reacting to something in the room.  Talk to his pediatrician about it.

Observation: Your symptoms appear viral or allergic.  Dry cough is ususally idicative of a viral infections of the respiratory tract or allergy related.  Watery eyes is another symptom of viral or allegic process.  Otc cough medications may help (dextromethorphan or guaifenacin) along with otc allergy medications, rest, fluids & analgesics such as Ibuprofen or acetamenophen and observation.  See pcp if worse.
