Rare: They are very rare to see usually from prior treatment with angioplasty or other they may require surgery or even endovascular treatment but must individualize treatment.

Yes, but: Coronary aneurysm do not rupture (in adults) like aneurysms of the aorta. When present, they have no more significance than garden variety atherosclerosis and are treated the same. They most often arise from atherosclerosis. In infants, they may result as a complication of kawasaki disease and can become large and even rupture.

Yes: "drugs" is a vague term but if you mean recreational drugs then yes. Marijuana is as bad if not worse than cigarettes. No filter, held for extended time in lungs, and often contains unknown contaminants.So if smoking is a known risk factor....Cocaine tends to cause intense coronary artery vasospasm.This can damage the endothelium and allow cholesterol to deposit in the vessels.

No: Wouldn't it be something if there was a drug to dissolve plaque? A lot of people would be out of business. Despite the lay press, there are no proven therapies that dissolve plaque with any consistency that cannot be due to chance.

Relatively high risk: You mean Berry '  cerebral aneurysm surgery risk is getting  much better , but still is relatively high risk procedure  due to your mom's associated problems, if neglected will have much worse out come than cure by surgery. You need help to over come your grief,  speak to your family members

i have an aneurysm in my coronary artery. this is because of kawasaki disease from when i was a child. i take 81mg of aspirin and 32.5mg of clopidogrel every day. would smoking marijuana be life threatening for me?

Not immediately but:: I know of no research specifically on marijuana and aneurysms but there are studies on cardiovascular disease that show mixed results, with some evidence it may hurt and some it may help! If you use do in moderation and ingesting oral forms rather than smoking is advised. 
I advise anyone with an aneurysm to supplement with copper (about 2 mg), Vit C, bioflavonoids and collagen/bone broth.

: Excellent on the DASH eating plan. Ask Dr to check your urine Na, K and creatinine or use the app Cronometer to validate you are at goal Na &amp; K intake.  Best of all diets. I would go to uptodate.com and read all about heart calcium testing to get the details. The majority of men in US will have Calcium in hearts at this age. Some will have none. DASHing will likely prevent them or stop them.

Control BP: no specific treatment, but control BP. Get Coronary Angiograms if u get syncope or recurrent chest pains.

Yes: The answer is yes.  But by strictly controlling your diabetes, stopping smoking - if you smoke, staying at a very healthy weight, eating properly, exercising (if you have health problems consult your doctor before starting any exercise program) every day, taking any prescribed medications as instructed and having regular check-ups to catch changes quickly you can impact your health tremendously.
