how to remove scarring from cornea from herpes zoster? also, what type of vision correcting surgery can i do when i have herpes zoster (shingles)?

Few Options: Scars from Zoster can run deep, making removing them very difficult without damaging the rest of the cornea. Vision correcting surgery (LASIK,PRK, etc.) are not indicated nor useful for corneal scars.  If the scar is not in the center of vision it is left alone; if it is severely affecting you, a corneal transplant may be the only option.

doc told there is a spot on cornea which will go away in 2 weeks.but i am scared as there is no improvement for 5 days now.prescribed herpes ointment.

Cornea: This requires careful follow-up by an ophthalmologist and if progress isn't being made, I believe in consulting a cornea specialist at least for a second opinion. Corneal damage can lead to glaucoma as well as visual difficulties.

It can: Pregnancy can depress your immune system and allow zoster to resurface. Look out for eye pain, redness, changes in vision, or rash / vesicles. That said, if you are otherwise healthy and without HIV/AIDS, cancer, or use of steroids, pregnancy alone should not elevate your risk of shingles much more than a normal host.

From deeper injuries: A scar can form on a cornea after a corneal ulcer or corneal erosion, because the injury goes deeper, beyond the surface layer of cells. A corneal abrasion injures just the top layer of cells, and usually heals in 1-2 days without a scar. For the deeper injuries, sometimes steroid eye drops are used later in the healing period to help decrease scar formation.

is it possible to have comfort while wearing contacts if i have a scar in my cornea? i was given contacts but the comfort only last about 5 hours.

Yes: Yes definitely. A contact lens acts in a way like a bandage and often feels more comfortable while on.  Then when the lens is removed the eye is often more uncomfortable since the corneal surface is exposed. In this way a CL is a double edged sword as it may mask pain signifying damage to the cornea. Be sure to have eye care professional supervise your CL use.

Unlikely: Unfortunately this pigmentation / scarring can not easily and safely be removed.

Maybe: Depend on what has caused ur problem, therr are many treatments available.  You need to see a cornea specialist.

Consult...: You have to ask your Ophthalmologist about this. I would not wear them unless they tell you it is ok to do so after a full check up.

Most likely: Corneal scars are only a problem if they are centrally located or the site of chronic inflammation.  Quiescent corneal scars out of the visual line, can almost always be ignored and need no treatment.

open wounds(already been checked out) that used to be sores on my penis that won't heal for over a week. i haven't picked at them. i can tell they're goin to leave a scar. are they herpes or something else? and how do i get them to heal quicker?

Testing: You should have blood tests drawn to check for HIV, Herpes, Syphilis and any other Sexually Transmitted infections.
