BM troubles.: If this just happened the once, then I might presume it would be something you ate.  Take pause and think about what you'd eaten.  Something undercooked?  Did you eat out (food could have been mishandled)?  Did you eat a lot of fiber all at once?  Follow this along and see what transpires.  If it continues for a few days, then you might want to see a doctor.

extreme constipation along with mushy stools. anus burns while pooping and no urge to go to bathroom i go for pee and stool also happens. clear mucus while pooping sometimes pass mucus while passing gas. cannot digest high fibre foods what is this?

: You need to see a GI doctor for evaluation in order to get a diagnosis. There are many possibilities-an inflammatory bowel disease like Crohn’s Disease, is a possibility and this requires tests in order to make a diagnosis. There are other possibilities as well but a GI doctor is needed to do the work-up and make the diagnosis so treatment can be given. Good luck!

A combination of: suppositories and enemas may help solve your constipation.    These are available over-the-counter.   What you are describing is called a rectal stool impaction, and needs to be softened/ loosened to allow the stool to pass.    If you start vomiting, develop abdominal pain or are passing blood, see a physician.

i usually deal with constipation once a month to every other month. this month it's lasting all month. stools are hard,broken and i feel like i need to go more half the time. i get bad urge & can't other times. i gave myself hemorrhoids. serious?

: Chronic constipation may have serious consequences such as hemorrhoid bleeding, fissures, etc. You should recall what conditions precipitated this month long constipation and avoid them. In general, active life style with routine exercise, adequate fluid intake (1.5-2 liters/day for a person with average body mass) and eating high fiber diet. If needed, stool softener can be taken daily.

: We usually pay concern to constipation when it is a SUDDEN change in the bowel habit and especially there are associated symptoms such as weight loss, abdominal pain, poor appetite, etc. and the lack of other precipitating factors for constipation such as stress, change in diet or fluid intake, etc. In your case, you need to overcome this problem with exercise, high fiber diet &amp; good fluid intake.

Be seen: If you are chronically constipated you may be so backed up you have mega colon and do lose the sensation to go....You may just need a good cleaning out and then retraining your bowels to go regularly and normally. I guarantee you will need to make changes to your diet.

33 yr old. i had years of constipation, since infancy. sometimes when i have the urge to poop today, i sometimes tend to ignore the sensation for few minutes. then when i sit i can't go and i get constipated. should i go fie colonoscopy?

If your detailed medical history, physical exam, previous response to treatment and lifestyle changes are being conclusive of a need for colonoscopy in your gastroenterologist’s opinion by all means have it done for diagnostic purposes. Otherwise, it sounds that psychological adjustments would be best to time correctly moving your bowels based on your needs.

Blood in stool: You should go make an appointment soon to go see your doctor.  Blood in the stool is NEVER normal.
