Pulmon art?: I'm not clear where the clot is - in the pulmonary artery? It would be helpful if you can ask her doctor for the exact medical terminology. That said, blood clots are generally serious. I assume your mother is receiving appropriate treatment? (anticoagulation). If she's at home, her docs must feel that her condition is stable. If in the hosp, she's in good hands.

i recently had pneumonia. i also have congestive heart failure (diastolic) and copd. i currently am extremely short of breath. xrays show i have partially collapsed lungs due to fluid. i am taking lasix every day. how else can i reinflate my lun?

: That combination of pneumonia,CHF,COPD, bilateral pleural effusions&amp; partially collapsed lungs warrant in hospital care. It appears to me that removal of large pleural fluid by strong doses of diuretics &amp; possible tapping of the chest cavities are mandatory in your treatment. It seems that the CHF is the major factor here. Proceed to the emergency room if you can't reach your MD for instructions.

Get checked: First of all, get fully evaluated. You have lots of significant health issues and these need close attention from you and your doctor. But keep in mind, pneumonia can frequently take a long time to heal completely, sometimes several months before your strength is fully restored.

Ok if self control: Needs to control fluid intake within 1500 ml = 50 ounces total per 24 hours including all types of fluids even those included in food moisture e.g. Stew. Also, salt restriction under 2000 mg salt per day. Salt rich food include bread & rolls, cured & processed meat, pizza, pickles, chips, fast food. If did that and took his meds, will do fine. Daily weights are big, call doc if off 6 lbs either way.

2 different doctors gave 2 different answers to my echo. the ordering doctor, my pulmonologist, said i have chronic right-sided congestive heart failure after viewing the echo and when i asked my main doctor he said that is to do with my lungs. help?

: If you don't have disease of the pulmonic or tricuspid heart valves, chronic left ventricular  congestive heart failure,history of pulmonary emboli or of primary pulmonary artery hypertension then chronic lung disease has to be suspected as the cause of your right heart CHF..  Do you have COPD or chronic bronchial asthma?

No: Not neccesarily. Obviously there should be a work up of  CHF which includes blood work, echo and stress test.
