Based on falsehood: You don't need additional colonics because you didn't need any in 1st place. Based on faulty science & false premise that txoins need to be washed out of the body. Your intestines/digestive system naturally eliminates bacteria (bulk of stool is dead bacteria) and other waste materials. There is no scientific evidence that it does any good.Many are gullible like some believe world is flat.

Neither!: Washing out the colon would seem to make sense.  We think of it as dirty, nasty, infected, and something that needs to be "cleaned out."  this is as far away from the truth as one can get.  Our colon needs the bacteria and stool within it in order to be healthy.  Colon that is deprived of stool or good bacteria, becomes sick, infected, inflamed, reduces the immune system, and is dangerous to us.

No: No scientific studies have ever shown a benefit to colonics. In fact, what many people do not realize is that the colon lining gets nourished from free fatty acids in the stool. Pregnant  women, patients with ulcerative  or crohn's colitis , significant  diverticulosis should not have hydrotherapy due to increased risk of complications. Whether or not colonic hydrotherapy is beneficial is a separate issue.

Wouldn't do it:  no need; doesn't detoxify, only makes you poop (not thesame thing). can damage lining of bowel, screw around with fluid/mineral balance; alter bacterial flora, not in a good way, can complicate clinical picture in people with inflammatory bowel disease; rare, but potential complication like infection or perforation

No restriction: There  are  no restrictions I am aware of. You can discuss this  with your  physicians. Uncertain the reason for the colonic and it's expected benefit. We would need  more information to see if you need food restriction , but no reason that I am aware of.

Yes: Colonic hydrotherapy has no medical indications.  An occasional enema or ostipation is generally well tolerated.  The cause of the ostipation needs to be evaluated.  High fiber and high fluid diet can be helpful.  30 grams of fiber a day and 120 ounces of water.
