Neither!: Washing out the colon would seem to make sense. We think of it as dirty, nasty, infected, and something that needs to be "cleaned out." this is as far away from the truth as one can get. Our colon needs the bacteria and stool within it in order to be healthy. Colon that is deprived of stool or good bacteria, becomes sick, infected, inflamed, reduces the immune system, and is dangerous to us.
