baby is passing soft green stools and shes always crying when passing stools is this normal for a four weeks baby born at 36 weeks ,shes also in pain went for consultation and they said its colic but medication doesnt make her feel better ?

Not unusual: Whether pushing out poop or gas an infant that age may fuss during the process. Their belly muscles are soft/flabby/weak are supplemented by fusing to push. I would not assume this means anything bad. Colic is considered more behavioral than pain related as it peaks at 6=8 wks &amp; begins to fade when they become mobile around 4 mo. I know of no treatment that will fix it.

GI UPSET: You probably have hyperacidity that needs to be neutralized by antacid. If you feel good after taking rx, then next time make sure to eat on time so your stomach will not be  colicky.

my baby is two months old and a gp recently said she's colic. so far i've bought loads of medication. i googled and it said she could be lactose intolerant, the symptoms are all pointing in that direction. how do i know if she is?

Try lactose free: Colic by definition is unexplained crying for at least 3hrs/day, 3days/wk in the first 3 months. It is common &amp; fades with age. Lactose intolerance produces acid scorching diaper rashes, lots of gas &amp; some overlapping symptoms, but it is 24/7. Colic classically is afternoon/evening. There are lactose free formulas (soy) but breast milk has lactose.

Grib water: Grib water does not affect the brain. You can swaddle your baby to help with the colic instead or put your child on top of an operating washing machine.

Perhaps: carbonic anhydrase inhibitors can produce mild acidosis. This can exacerbate some GI conditions.

Stressful Time: This is a very stressful time for your family. Colicky babies demand constant attention.  You are sleep deprived already, then on top of that, you have the constant needs of this child.  Walking in a sling is super helpful.  Consider "baby wearing" as much as possible, not just you but dad and other family members.  Never shake the baby, you can always set her down and let her cry, take a break!

It's fine: It is perfectly fine for you to take your newborn outside. It's all old wives tales about problems with colic just because you breath outdoor air. The fresh air is excellent for him, as is getting out into the world and experiencing life!. You are right to keep him in the shade, and don't overdress him. Clothes you are comfortable in and one light layer more. Enjoy the outdoors and congratulations.
