difference between a cold or sinus headache?

Difficult to tell: Need more history and exam.  A cold may produce congestion and secondary blockage of sinus drainage, so that differentiating the two becomes impossible.  If the headache persists, see a doctor asap.

Vasomotor: This could be vasomotor rhinitis which would cause the sinus tissue to become congested and then clog the sinuses. You could try some nasal steroid spray or atrovent nasal spray.

Umcka/ irrigation: This is not exactly a "home remedy" but the herb pellargonium sidoides (sold as umcka) is proven to work well (whereas research shows antibiotics seldom help). Yes, the vomiting : Could be part of the flu. If you feel weaker or not improving, see your dr. Drink lots of water, fruit juices, chicken noodle soul etc. Take care!

Sinus swelling: It could be but probably represents residual mswelling in the sinuses anf could be a low grade residual infection. See your doctor.

Possible: Stress, sinus congestion. Allergy or migraine. Please consult your doctor.Also have your eyes checked too for correction glasses or who knows glaucoma.

You can, very easy: Cluster headache is the most painful of all the primary headache disorders. Because of the intense pain, cluster patients often pace the floor or bang their heads during headache episodes while rubbing or holding the painful site in any attempt to distract themselves from the pain. Some patients say that "my eyeball is being pushed out," or "there is a hot poker sticking in my eye".  That's it.

Be Happy.: Sounds like viral upper respiratory infection although you really didn't supply a lot of detail. This sounds to be resolving and you should expect all to clear in another weeks or so.

Go to ER: Anybody with chest pain and these other symptoms should be seen and evaluated thoroughly asap.  Do not wait, do not pass go.  Go now and hope you feel better soon.
