See below: One reason is that during sleep, metabolism slows and so does core body temperature. Thus extremities, such as the feet and hands, may feel colder when awakening in the night from sleep. If you wake up from it often, you can wear socks or cover them up with a blanket to optimize your sleep quality. But if you notice other symptoms, such as numbness or burning in the feet, see a neurologist.

Go see your doctor: You've listed thyroid disease so you need to get checked to be sure this isn't cause of your symptoms. You're awfully young for menopause but that could explain your symptoms in those in their 40s-50s. If any of your friends, family or roommates report that you snore, you need to get checked out for sleep apnea as a cause of your symptoms. But start w/your family doc first.

There can be several reasons for cold feet including poor circulation, peripheral neuropathy, vasospastic disease, and even some arthritic conditions can do this. Start by going to your pmd who will make a recommendation for you to see an appropriate specialist. Once we have a diagnosis, then we can find a suitable treatment.

There can be medical reasons for cold feet as well: issues with your circulation, thyroid or peripheral nerves that affect bloodflow to the feet and toes.  Check with your doctor if these issues might be the problem.

CRPS: Chronic regional pain syndrome may be associated with abnormal temperature sensations of the joints.  As for a diagnostic workup bone scans may be used.  Various medications may be tried to improve the symptoms.  I recommend seeing a rheumatologist and we'll be happy to consult if needed.
