: A cold environment by itself will not cause sickness, only bacteria, viruses, etc. cause illness. But, your immune system can be affected by being exposure to extreme temperatures and this can then lead to illness, if then exposed to a microorganism when the immune system is down. Good luck!

Not normally.: The most common symptoms of a cold are sneezing, running nose, feeling tired, congestion and scratchy throat.  Additional symptoms can be coughing, headaches, mucus dripping down the back of the throat, loss of appetite and fever (in children).

See your doctor : If you are speaking about your 8 year old, I would take him/her in to see the pediatrician. In the mean time, make aure to stay well hydrated. Bananas, rice, apples and toast can help woth the diarrhea by adding fiber. Hope this helps!

: Did you use tampons? TSS is unlikely with sanitary pads. Your symptoms could be due to different types of infections like influenzas or Covid 19. It may be best to have a comprehensive evaluation by a medical practitioner especially if you are not feeling better or getting worse.

Probably viral...: It sounds like you likely have a viral infection, which is treated symptomatically and should run its course over 5-10 days. In the meantime, you will probably feel better if you stick to a bland, soft food diet. This will be easier to swallow with a sore throat and will be less likely to exacerbate the diarrhea. Also, drink plenty of fluids and rest.

i got food poisoning from some raw salmon i ate. three hours after eating the food, i started to have cold sweat, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. i woke up with a red rash on my body only getting worse. what can i take to make it go away?

: You might have anisakiasis -- caused by the anasakis parasite, a worm common in salmon. Raw salmon is supposed to be frozen (and then thawed) before eating; freezing kills the worm. Both your symptoms and onset timing are typical. Skin rash does not usually occur, but has been reported in a few cases. Although unpleasant, anisakiasis is harmless and symptoms clear up quickly in a few days.

Get lots of rest: You are looking at this problem from the wrong point of view.  The shingles is the consequence, not the cause of your problem.  It is a recurrence of a dormant or sleeping chicken pox virus from way back when that gets activated when your immune system declines - too much stress, too little rest, or busy fighting another infection.  You need to allow your body to recover in order to get rid of all.

Anxiety and Nausea: Waking up with nausea, cold sweats, diarrhea and vomiting does not sound like an anxiety attack. It sounds more like a physical reaction to something. If it returns, see your primary care physician.

Systemic infection?: If you need IV fluid, you likely have had very severe diarrhea.   You may be shaky if you have not taken in much food and you may also have shakes if you have a systemic infection (i would expect that you have a fever however). You need to talk to your doctor about this asap.
