Probably viral...: It sounds like you likely have a viral infection, which is treated symptomatically and should run its course over 5-10 days. In the meantime, you will probably feel better if you stick to a bland, soft food diet. This will be easier to swallow with a sore throat and will be less likely to exacerbate the diarrhea. Also, drink plenty of fluids and rest.

Whatever: There is no proof that dietary restriction helps these conditions. Avoiding dairy when having diarrhea may make sense due to the potentially lower gut lactase level (to break down the lactose in milk) with diarrhea.
