Possibly: The fingerstick is considered by the public as the "sugar level" & as such the cmp and bmp have the blood glucose level as part of its information.In practice, physicians may get the cbc, bmp, cmp, and many other tests using a fingerstick technique.The direct draw from a vein often produces more accurate results for some of the tests, done correctly a fingerstick can be accurate for glucose.(sugar).

: Preliminary liver function test is included in CMP, not BMP. Normal CMP is usually not consistent with acute hepatitis A but CMP can be normal in hepatitis C. There is no chronic hepatitis A.

Within 2 hours: Depending on your hospital, the results should take no more than 2 hours; this is a very standard, very computerized test.

1 month itching on face/scalp now also on body. no rash but few isolated red bumps on arm/leg. face itch most intense. no change in soaps/clothes. no meds. cbc, cmp, bmp tests clear. if cancer, would there be other symptoms? what else could it be?

: It could be an allergy, infection etc and you have to be seen to be diagnosed. These are not the usual symptoms of cancer. So pl see your doc or a dermatologist. good luck

Multiple: On a CMP, a high BUN-to-creatinine ratio MAY be suggestive of dehydration. On a review of urine electrolytes, a low urine chloride or a low FENa may also suggest this. But the operative word is SUGGEST, as there are many causes of a high BUN:Cr and low FENa. To actually put context to these labs, it is always advisable to seek your physician to interpret them properly and apply them to your case.

Encephalopathy: Encephalopathy can occur from several other causes. It is unlikely to have hepatic encephalopathy with normal liver function tests.

cmp drawn and glucse was 92, non fasting. is that normal? havent felt good for a while. dr didnt order a1c. should i ask for it?

Not needed: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, random glucose of 92 is not suggestive of even pre-diabetes, let alone diabetes.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

my bun was 11 in january. now it dropped to 5 which is low. what can cause 1) low bun 2) such a drastic drop in 10 months? please tell all possible causes. i will ask my dr but other opinions are helpful. all other results from the cmp were normal?

: Causes of a low BUN include a diet poor in protein,malnutrition,drinking too much water and severe liver damage. In your case I wouldn't put any significance on it as I doubt that any of these factors are present.

Lab shorthand: Cmp-comprehensive medical profile.  This usually includes electrolytes, sodium, potassium, choloride, bun, glucose, etc...........

See below: Cmp is presumably complete metabolic profile, a blood test, which includes a test called creatinine.
From your age, sex, and creatinine value, the lab can derive a GFR [glomerular filtration rate] , a better test/result of kidney function.
