Although: ^ depressed mood has been reported as a side effect - I wonder if  you are more aware of depressive symptoms now that anxious symptoms have reduced.

Therapy?: Have you yet tried any form of psychotherapy? Typically, the optimal combination of things to treat emotional issues such as depression is medication (which, on your best day, is supposed to take the edge off symptoms) but the real gruntwork takes place in psychotherapist's consulting room.

Avoid!: Over the counter supplements are not regulated by the FDA or even checked to see if they are any good.  Don't take a chance that there is something in them that will mess with your Citalopram. None have been proven in good studies to work anyway,  save your moola. Talk Therapy!: While you search for a better antidepressant, definitely get involved in supportive talk therapy. The losses you've faced and your grief will not be resolved by drugs alone - they may not even be necessary. You need to work through your feelings which may be fairly normal and healthy. But, un-dealt with, they can fester leading to worse symptoms. Be picky, this therapist is one you need to trust.

my dr is having me stop my celexa (citalopram) for 10 days because of an antibiotic im on. will my depression/anxiety increase? will i withdraw? im scared.

Possibly: Yes, you could have withdrawal symptoms by suddenly stopping celexa, (citalopram) and your depression symptoms could increase.  Hoping you also have a psychiatrist, and can discuss this directly with him or her -- it seems a bad idea to cold-turkey an ssri.  If your primary care doctor is concerned about the antibiotic effects with celexa, (citalopram) could s/he not simply reduce the dose rather than stop it altogether?

No: At one time it was the most prescribed anyidepressant in Europe it's been around a while &amp; is very safe

been on celexa (citalopram) for a month for depression and anxitey and before battled chronic constipation. after taking celexa (citalopram) i have no constipation why?

Celexa (citalopram) can do it: Meds. Like Celexa (citalopram) can have side effects. One of them is diarrhea. 
However, if your depression was causing your constipation and Celexa (citalopram) works and you are no longer depressed then constipation is also ended.

Let your prescibing: physician or psychiatrist know. Dose may need to be increased. Another SSRI may be beneficial.
