Depends.: First, each person is different and one might be better for one person and not another.  Second, Celexa (citalopram) is a brand name and bupropion a generic.  In general Wellbutrin is more effective for depression than Celexa (citalopram), but it has no tranquilizer effect which Celexa (citalopram) does.  Some generic bupropion is not as effective as another.

Ask your provider: Always discuss this sort of thing w/ your provider. When a medication is prescribed - have a list of standard and additional particular questions. This is one to always ask - "How long should I expect to wait to see results?" Others are about what to look for positively and side effects to report. Citalopram is for Depression. It is likely that you stopped Citalopram as it did not help.

STAR*D Study: 1. Make sure you give citalopram an adequate trial at an appropriate dose.
2. Augmenting with Bupropion may help in certain individuals. It was beneficial in about ~7-10% of depressed patients.

If you do decide on starting Bupropion, contra-indications include seizures and eating disorders.

It depends: If your psychiatrist has prescribed these dosages for you then my assumption would be there was a good reason for that. If you are tolerating the combination with minimal to no side effects and you are benefitting from it then this may be appropriate for you. Look out for side effects such as not being able to feel your emotions or increased agitation and irritability. Good luck!

Consult Psychiatrist: Withdrawal symptoms, may take more than 2 weeks to go away. Discuss with your Psychiatrist. Gradual withdrawal is more helpful than sudden discontinuation. Return of depression, should also be considered as a withdrawal symptom.

Depends on person : Whether or not to use  antidepressants depends in pregnancy is a decision that needs to be made between you and your doctor. This should be made on a case by case basis balancing the known risks of not treating depression vs the theoretical risk of medication exposure. Your age of 38 also has risk. You shoudl schedule a preconceptual counseling visit.
