Doubtful: Hydrocortisone is helpful for itchy or inflamed rashes.  We believe that pityriasis is caused by a virus and not inflammatory.  I would expect a herald patch to be accompanied by others by now.  You should consider that this might be another cause such as eczema or lupus.  I would recommend an examination.

Yes: You have a mycoplasmal chest infection and erythema multiforme until proved otherwise. It&#x27;s not a perfect fit for what you describe, but this is common and seriously enough that you need to be seen by a specialist, hopefully in derm.

: First and maybe most important, a rash is never the only symptom of a new HIV infection. If you don't also have sore throat, fever, or enlarged lymph nodes, you can be quite sure the rash isn't due to HIV. Also, the typical appearance isn't at all ike you describe:  typically it's painless, non-itch red spots mostly on the trunk. Regardless of symptoms, have an HIV blood test if possibly at risk.

No: It is difficult ot evaluate a rash only from an email, and there are subtle changes that you can see in person that a two dimensional image misses. You also may need to skin biopsy for diagnosis. If this persists and does not respond to over the counter products see dermatologist before this becomes worse.

Leg rash: Could be from shaving, if it's spreading it could be folliculitis.  You might need an antibiotic so see your dermatologist.

Allergy/ trauma: Could be allergy to one or more to the meds.. You are on, 
or from constant trauma to the area like rough clothing and such.
