Back pain: In a young person is usually of musculoskeletal origin. You may try to return to exercise and avoid painful activities. If the pain still doesn't resolve you may want to seek medical attention for some manual therapy from an osteopathic physician, physical therapist, etc.

Don't lie on back: If it hurts to lie on your back, don't. Otherwise it does't matter what posture as long as you're comfortable.

Common: What you describe is common after exercise.  Especially if the muscles are chronically overstretched.  As you strengthen these muscles, often this can take several weeks to months you should see a decrease in the burning sensation.  If it does not subside, then maybe have the sports med doc look into a nerve impingement as a source of this burning sensation.

Myofascial Pain: What you feel as "pea-sized knots" are called trigger points. We all have these little knots but they shouldn't be sore &amp; cause constant pain. Trigger points are common in people who perform repetitive activities, sit for long periods, electronics, poor posture and other factors.  There are good treatment options, but start by avoiding repetitive and prolonged sitting. Exercise and healthy diet.

Need OT: I am not sure you can fix you can avoid further harm ask your primary care to refer for occupational assesment occupationa therapist/ physical therapist can tach you proper position and exercise to keep right posture for your job.

my wife noticed a soft lump, ~1.5 inches, on my left upper back on my latissimus dorsi muscle. she felt it, cant see it, while rubbing back & made a remark thinking it was a muscle knot - but it doesnt feel tender or hurt. should i get it checked?

Sure: It could be a lipoma, a cyst or possibly a knot in the myofascia. If it isn't causing any problems - would have it examined at your next standard medical appointment (ie. annual medical check up).

Pinched nerve: Because patients having cardiac problems can have these symptoms, you should have this ruled out.  But the most common cause is an irritation of a nerve in the neck by a bone spur or herniation that can cause pain or numbness that runs down the arm into the hand.  An MRI can usually show the cause of the problem if it does not resolve.  Thank you for the question.

Yes  and no: Herniated disks and various pain syndromes are certainly related.  Do you know why your liver enzymes are high?  Please make sure you are not taking too much tylenol (acetaminophen) or tylenol (acetaminophen) containing products, as tylenol (acetaminophen) overdose can cause elevated liver enzymes.  Hepatitis c can cause high liver enzymes as well as muskuloskeletal pain.

Time for Dr: Sounds like there might be an issue in your chest, and/or you are having stress/anxiety issue(s)--which combine to lower ur immunity, worsen allergies / asthma, increase muscle spasm & just make u miserable. Get a dr's exam & management plan.

Rest : Back muscles take time to heal. Acutely you need to rest, use ice, and an anti-imflammatory drug like Ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen). Once the acute pain subsides heat can be used and gentle stretching. You may also benefit from sessions with a therapist.
