Depends on the cause: Ild comes in many subtypes - a few - especially those related to smoking or that have an hypersensitivity/allergic component can be reversed with the proper treatment.  Unfortunately, the most common form of ild is not reversible.  Seeing a pulmonary specialists is highly recommended for anyone diagnosed with ild.

Haziness: There is haziness seen on the scan   Normal lung should appear black with white markings that signify the airways and vessels. They are seeing increased white markings (haziness) which is nonspecific and could be related to infection, inflammation, etc.  might be a good idea to repeat the scan after you've been treated to see if there is resolution of the haziness

ive recently had a ct and the report has come back with minor subpleural interstitial stranding at the dependent lung bases likely hypostatic changes. can someone translate?

: The most important info that you should provide us  is, why the CT scan was done? If it was done to check for infection in the lung such as pneumonia or bronchitis then you can ignore these changes which are all quite minor right now.
Hypostatic changes means the person may have been bed ridden and not able to clear out any mucus, normal secre by coughing.
Your ordering doctor can further explain

: All laboratory/imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests.  Wish you good health!

: It means you have scarring in your lung, probably from sarcoidosis.  It needs to be followed by a Pulmonologist and treated if it appears to be progressing.

Try plain chest xray: CT scans  have very high doses of radiation compared to a plain chest xray. You had some findings  that could  be followed with a plain chest xray.

If there were significant changes on the next xray, then you may need a Chest CT.  If  not,  I suggest talking to your doctor to postpone the CT.  Because you are 31 yo,  you need to be aware of the amount of radiation your body is receiving.

: CT abdomen does not include the entire lungs. All radiological findings must be co-related with symptoms. Scar on a ling is an isolated thing and not interstitial fibrotic disease

: The chest CT angiogram seems abnormal. Pulmonary embolism is likely not present but the parenchymal changes could be the reason for dyspnea (shortness of breath) and the etiology needs to be defined. The presence of calcified granuloma is less likely the reason for this study, just coincidental findings. Take care.

To answer that it should be understood that tests results are taken into account with the things the patients, says, the examination, lab tests, and all other diagnostic tests.  Ask your doctor who was able to examine you about your condition. These CT findings are not specific to a  particular condition but may be connected to your cough

On a CT usually: This refers to a finding seen on x-rays, more specifically ct scans of the chest. It can be seen on plain chest x-rays, but is less reliable. It refers to a more prominent appearance of the normally very slight, nearly invisible linear markings near the periphery of your lungs. It can be caused by many things.  "fibrosis" or scarring is the most concerning, but by no means the only cause.
