Resolving  bruise: What you describe could be a resolving deep bruise. Trauma bad enough to frature a bone most likely damaged blood vessels and lymph vessels in the foot area. That can cause the discoloration and the swelling. Ice, support, possibly a restrictive shoe , all can help.

i have an avulsion/chip fracture involving the anterior lateral aspect of the calcaneus.how can i lessen the pain in my ankle an knee an heel of foot?

Brace/PT: Sounds like you need some Physical Therapy and/or Bracing! This kind of fracture generally takes 6-8 weeks to heal!  Hope this helps

More info?: A "bone chip" could refer to a number if different things including a small crack or nondisplaced fracture or a small loose body in the joint. Depending on the details of the injury, the treatment may be nonoperative or surgical.

six weeks ago suffered small chip fracture on big toe. little pain now, but small hard lump present that rubs. should i be concerned?

This may get better!: Though it's been six weeks, it is still a bit early in the overall healing process. The small hard lump you describe may be a soft tissue reaction related to the fracture. Hopefully, it is not the bone itself that has healed with prominence. The former will improve over time. The latter will remain and might require a small surgical procedure to remove this bone prominence in the future as needed.

i have a history of ligament damage and injured my ankle again....this time i have a bone chip fracture...what has to be done to fix this?

It all depends....: If it's an old injury and it was just found on an x-ray then nothing may have to be done. Te old chip may be irrelevant. It depends on your exam and your x-rays (possibly an MRI although not usually). It may be as "simple" as an ankle sprain, with ice, elevation, possible brief immobilization, and proper rehabilitation. It's also possible it may require surgery, worth getting an eval and options.

undisplaced chip fracture to lateral aspect to the tuft of the distal phalanx big toe. is this a bad fracture? what is the treatment for it?

: This would not be considered a “bad” fracture. I would protect the area. Wear a stiff sole shoe for at least 3-4 weeks. You still have to allow for healing. You could have experienced a ligament injury to the joint. Important to allow proper healing.  Advil or Aleve for pain and swelling

Exam and X-rays: He will likely get a history and carefully examine your ankle for clicks, locking, or instability.  If imaging reveals a loose piece than surgery may be recommended.

It all depends....: Did this just happen ? If it's an old injury and it was just found on an x-ray then nothing may have to be done. If this is a new injury, a lot depends on your exam and your x-rays, your age, activity level, medical problems (like diabetes, etc). If its a stable injury a protective boot or walking cast for a few weeks, if it's unstable and/or the ankle structure is disrupted you may need surgery.

Time will tell.: You may not have to deal with it. Chip fractures, especially there, may never need treatment. After the initial injury calms down, no further treatment may be indicated.

i am suffering from a small chip fracture of the right talus anteriorly, what is the treatment for that?

Arthroscopy : Talar dome" chip" fractures are fairly common. If symptomatic , which they usually are, and anterior as u say, arththroscopic debridement( removal)w/ microfx. Is the treatment of choice . Fixation of these small mostly cartilaginous fragments doesn't work. If the fragment is acute and large it may heal in a cast.For larger lesions or ocd we have performed osteochondral autograft transfer(f/ knee).
