Certainly can: The components of it (anti histamine, guafenecin, tylenol, (acetaminophen) even dextromethorphan) do not have significant clinical interactions with those medications.

Cold medication : Most night time cold medication does contain anti-histamines that can induce sleep.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Because these 2 are from different classes of medication, it is fine to alternate Ibuprofen and tylenol (acetaminophen) for a short term basis.  I am also assuming that you have normal liver and kidney function.  However, if your symptoms do not improve with this regimen, you should see your doc.

how many hours apart can you drink the equate day time cold medicine and the night time cold and flu medicine and i had another question about another medicine it was about the claritin medication it was how many of those pills can you take in a day ?

Hard to guess: Claritin (loratadine) is a once-a-day medication, and does wear off somewhat by night time. Regarding cold medications for example... if Nyquil, with its own antihistamine, is taken at night time, a person would be taking 2 antihistamines, which may or may not be a problem. Each person is different. His doctor can evaluate to see if there anything serious going on.

i have had insomnia for months now .i have tried zolpidem, cold med. capsules for night time. trazedone, ibuprofen pm. none seem to work at all any mo?

You need proper exam: The treatment of insomnia is not simply taking a pill to go to sleep.  That is not TREATING insomnia.  That's trying to make you sleep which may have worked in the beginning. No: Over the counter cold medications have no proven benefit in well controlled studies, and can cause serious problems, especially in children.  In fact, it is now finally recognized generally that taking these meds in kids under 2 is a very bad idea (although deaths in infants from them have been reported for 30 years). if you take metrpolol medication 25mg, half in the morning and one at night, and want to drink a cup of alcohol, should i take the med after or before?

Won't matter: There is not an interaction between metoprolol.  I do not know why you are on metoprolol, but alcohol does increase the likelihood of having an arrhythmia

5htp - been taking 50mg morning and 100mg at night for 8 weeks for mild anxiety.  can i just stop this medication or do i need to slowly taper down?  limited effect (if any) so just want to stop med.

CONSULT  PRESCRIBER.: It is better  to consult with the doctor who prescribed the medication. He has the reason to give that medication and he should decide whether to stop or continue.

If consistently high: 141/92 is stage 2 hypertension, so the doctor will likely consider medications, but each patient is looked at individually.  The categories are:  Elevated Blood Pressure: systolic between 120-129 AND diastolic less than 80; Stage 1 hypertension: systolic between 130-139, OR diastolic between 80-89; Stage 2:  systolic at least 140, OR diastolic at least 90 mmHg.

i have this rash on my arms. it irritates me all the time at night and i got medication for it but it doesnt work. ?
