It is not an exact science but is very good for evaluating for sexual or physical abuse and also serves as an outlet for children to work out their anxieties.

Play therapy: To clarify: child play therapy is a way for children to express their experiences, feelings through a natural self guided, self healing process. Play therapy enables communication/assistance to overcome psychosocial challenges. No one can every "force" a child to do something without backlash. Forming a strong alliance (parent/md) and engaging your child will be the key to moving toward any goal.

An approach for kids: Play therapy covers a wide array of interventions often used especially with younger children as a way of engaging them and getting information indirectly about what is bothering them.  There is not a single form of play therapy, and it can be used in many ways from just providing structure to the session to actually being a key part of therapy itself.

i play baseball an the bottom side of my throwing shoulder has been bothering. me i went to physical therapy but didnt help much. what can be wrong ?

Takes time to heal: Have you tried cross-training in another sport and not using your shoulder to throw overhand for 6 weeks? Musculoskeletal injuries take time to heal. Hopefully, it is just a strain or sprain. Please follow up with your treating physician for a thorough physical exam of the shoulder.

i have a herniated disc & my surgeon told me to stop my sports activities & take 4 months therapy but i wanted to know why do i have to stop playing if i felt no pain while playing , & right now while i'm only taking therapy i feel a lot of pain ?

i have a disc herniation (l4,l5) it hurts a lot i feel disabled i play sports & i was told to lay of sports & take therapy for 4 months . i was wondering why do i have to stop sports if when i'm playing i feel no pain ?

More history needed: To say it hurts, but not during sports , is confusing. More history would help to determine what a recommended course of action would be

i have a hearniated disk on my lower back , i feel a lot of pain when i'm not active but since i play sports i feel no pain at all while playing , my surgeon told me to stop sports & take therapy but why stop playing if i feel no pain while playing?

Disc: Its got to do with how the pressure affects the herniation - Staying in one position causes more pressure in one area resulting in more herniation. Moving around like when playing sport constantly transfers the weight distribution around so it is never in the same spot for too long. However the sport playing does cauase more injury and that is why it huts you more when resting - he is right -do pt

my grandson played in his bath with a toilet brush i used to clean toilet after rai therepy is he now contaminated does he need help???  it was toilet water no urine.. and 9 days after my therapy  i'm a wreck please help ..was already released danger

Yuk! But no worries.: Children need better toys than a used toilet brush. Also, young children should be continually watched when in the bathroom because they can drown in a toilet or tub. No worries about the radioiodine, as the toilet brush is presumably rinsed off when cleaning the toilet and flushing a couple of times. Furthermore, the toilet brush gets rinsed off again if in the bath water. And, it's been 9 days.

my  heel damaged during play cricket, dr said need miner operation & other said only therapy, i can't walk still on bed since last 25 days! suggest me?

Physical Therapy: You need assistance getting out of bed. Do you have crutches to get around? Can up sit up? Home therapist?
Is there pain when you move.? You may have partially torn the Achilles tendon. Full rupture needs surgery partial will heal over time. 
More information needed.
