Vitamins do not: help w/weight gain.  Your diet, exercise level, and your metabolism all determine your weight.  Please start by seeing your doc to make sure thyroid and other hormones are in balance.  Then see a nutritionist for an appropriate food plan.  Good fats like coconut oil are good along w/protein.  Exercise will build and define muscle.  Please don't define yourself by your weight.

Some are, some not: Vitamins tend to be mostly vegetarian, but some contain animal-derived products, especially vitamin a which may come from fish oil. Also, some vitamins are in gelatin-based gel-caps. Read the ingredients and avoid gel-caps. A quality multivitamin will usually state on the label if it is appropriate for vegetarians.

Limcee?: If you mean limcee, they only contain vitamin c.  A good children's multivitamin would be a better and cheaper choice.  Also good nutrition will prevent vitamin deficiencies even without supplements.

Maybe: If you have a known vitamin deficiency, then replacement therapy is good for you.  However, very few people in the USA eating anything close to a regular diet have vitamin deficiency.  You can ask your doctor to test for specific vitamins, and discuss treatment.  For almost everyone else, vitamin tablets are good for the financial health of the drug companies, but do not do much for the consumer.

What for?: It is very unlikely that, other than lightening your wallet, these things are doing you any good.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Depends on cause...: There are lots of reasons for B12 deficiency, but can you offer more information about your medical history so we can help you learn why your B12 level is down?  B12 can be supplemented orally, by nasal spray, by injection appropriate to the cause of the B12 deficiency.Talk with your doctor about which formulation is appropriate here--the shot does not require enteral absorption.

Specific dose: can be recommended by your doc but you may need more to raise the level of D.  Experts say between 50 and 80 is best.  Many people take 5K mg D.  Peace and good health.

how do you know if a solid pill form of any drug or vitamin is being dissolved in your system?

Accepted Answer

Testing: Some medications can be tested for to assure there is adequate levels in your system. Mostly all drugs are digested and "dissolved" in your "system" and metabolized. Some pills do have an outer coating, but may have a gits (gasro-intestinal timed system) with a small pin-hole in them that slowly releases the drug.  These may be visible in your stool, but rest assured the medication is usually out.

No: Vitamins do not make your butt grow. There is one supplement - creatine that is supposed to help build muscle but i don't think its a good supplement to take.
