It cd be fluid (from pneumonia, heart failure, other lung diseases) or it cd be that part of the lung is under-inflated (called atelectasis) &amp; so has more tissue than air. Or it's an artifact from d breast overlying it; so, d finding has 2 b correlated with symptom

Nondiagnostic: This x-Ray finding in and of itself is nondiagnostic and further evaluation will probably involve a chest ct scan. Your physician will review your chest x-Ray with the radiologist and decide what further imaging studies are advisable as the density behind the heart shadow could be an abnormal blood vessel or a growth. A cardiothoracic surgeon may also be consulted.

Many things...: A nodule on X-ray is non-specific. Density means a certain area of the lung has either more fluid or tissue than air, so this could represent an infection, scarring from prior infection, a lymph node, or (worst scenario) a tumor or cancer (more likely if u r a smoker or hang around air pollution workplace). If it hasn't changed in 6 mo, it is good news; however, ur pulmonologist &amp; u shd keep tabs

: It suggests the person did not take a deep enough breath before the x-ray was taken to equal that of standard x-rays. It does not suggest a disease process.

Do not worry: There a small area of calcification which the residue of a healed inflammatory lesion.

No change good: No change is good. It means stable probably scarring or collapse (atelectasis) related to previous illness. Unless you have recurrent symptoms referrable to chest or subsequently  develop other acute problems, then follow up on regular basis with your physician.
