been to many docs for chest pain. quit smoking due to this. still feel pain. i exercise all the time, can run miles. smoked day ago couldn't breathe?

Reactive airways: The cigarette smoke likely irritated your airways and caused them to constrict. The constriction is likely why you had difficulty breathing. You may be exposed to other environmental factors that also bother your lungs and can consider seeing an allergist for both pulmonary function tests and/or allergy tests. Probably not a good idea to smoke in the future. Good luck.

ChstPain/smokingquit: More info is needed. How long after qitting smoking? How severe and how long is the pain? Is there heaviness in the chest?  Is there shortness of breath?  Are you more anxiouosa?  There are more questions needing answers. You need to check with your doctor as to possible other cases.

Possibly: Anxiety can cause excess cortisol, os adrenaline secretion which can cause a number of symptoms, including dizziness, lightheadedness, rapid heart beat palpitations, chestpain, headaches, etc.  Try calming yourself down by concentrating on slowing down your breathing over a few minutes if this doesn't help, see your primary provider for further evaluation. i've quit taking quercetin bromelain after 7 months use.. i've had chest pain/pressure since quitting. 5 days now. is there a reason for this?

Quercitan : Quercitan stabilizes the mast cell membrane wall so when you stopped histamine may be allowing the membrane to rupture and release the chemicals that cause tbe symptoms.

blood in saliva. chest pain comes and goes. quit smoking 4 years ago. no obvious cause. have gerd. could it be something else? worried about cancer.

See your doctor: It is best to get bloodwork and likely an endoscopy to evaluate further. It may be related to gastritis or esophagitis if vomiting any blood or an issue in the lungs if you're coughing it up.  The chest pain may be related to stomach, lung or heart issues but needs evaluauon. It is better to see your doctor to get a full evaluation.

Chest pain: Nine months is a long time for withdrawal symptoms to still be present. Probably should go see doc and get checked out.

Forget the ER doc: Shame on the ER doc for not knowing you're a non-smoker. Pain in that location which radiates to the back is really more in the abdomen than chest. 2 concerns I would have are: pancreatitis and peptic ulcer. You need further eval. Please see your family doc or go to a different ER if you otherwise don't have access to care.

i ve continuous chest pain on left side for 3 months..and i burp a lot.what it is & is it dangerous? smoker bt already quit.and my age is 25.

Unsure: Left sided chest pain can have several causes, some very serious.  With burping, uncontrolled acid reflux is high on the list.  What did your Barium swallow show?  If the omeprazole hasn't helped, you are due for endoscopy.  Also make sure H pylori is ruled out and you avoid nsaids.  Other possibilities are heart/heart lining problems, lung inflammation, chest wall musc/connective tis pain etc

Get immediate exam: Smoking is a risk factor in heart disease. Never ignore chest pain. I suggest immediate medical exam and cardiac evaluation: TODAY!
