Unsure: Left sided chest pain can have several causes, some very serious. With burping, uncontrolled acid reflux is high on the list. What did your Barium swallow show? If the omeprazole hasn't helped, you are due for endoscopy. Also make sure H pylori is ruled out and you avoid nsaids. Other possibilities are heart/heart lining problems, lung inflammation, chest wall musc/connective tis pain etc
