i've had a 2 month expisode of stress/anxiety and have now had a few weeks of chest pain and muscle spasms. is this normal?

Anxiety: It is possible that the prolonged stress and anxiety have led to muscle pain and spasms, but It is good to have a medical exam first to rule out any underlying illness. You could seek psychotherapy from a clinical psychologist for help. There are also medications to help with this. With good psychotherapy it can be possible for certain people to overcome the need for medication for panic attacks.

i've been having weird gurgling in my chest (left side) snd what feels like muscle spasms under rib cage...what could it be? i have anxiety&stress

See your doctor: Your symptoms may be signs of something significantly wrong.  One cannot tell without a complete history, physical and possible lab/imaging tests.  Follow with your doctor as soon as you can.  Things that can cause pains in chest and ribcage include heartburn, pneumonia, gallbladder problems, liver disease, kidney problems, heart attacks, or blood clots.

i've been depressed for the past 2 weeks (not the first time), have racing thoughts, chest pain,muscle spasms and sleeping troubles. is this anxiety?

See your pcp: to get checked for chest pain, muscle spasms. Can only say it's from anxiety after medical evaluation has ruled out physical causes.  Tell your doctor how you've been feeling, include any meds you take, any alcohol/drug/tobacco use. Ask for referral to a mental health professional if all points to psychological issues. my doctor gave me tinzanidine for a muscle spasm in my chest and shoulder and xanax as needed for anxiety. i took 2 mg (half pill) of tinzanidine this morning but am now having a panic attack. is it ok to now take xanax since about 6 hours have passe?

: You can take it but aware the combined effects of these 2 drugs may may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. You should not drive or operate machinery when taking this combination. Take care.

are chest muscle spasms a sign of heart attack?

Not usually....: A heart attack occurs when there is a decrease in the blood flow to the heart itself. Symptoms of a heart attack include chest pain or pressure that can radiate to the jaw, shortness of breath, sweating, etc. Spasms of the chest wall muscles can happen for many reasons, including after a lot of coughing, and is not usually a sign of a heart attack. If you have chest pain, see your doctor or er!

Yes: Muscle tension is one of the most common symptoms of anxiety. Some things that can help this in the short-term are regular exercise, healthy diet, a daily meditation practice, progressive muscle relaxation, breathing slowly and softly (extend the out-breaths). Make sure BP is fine: I don't foresee any longterm consequences necessarily , but if it persists, your doctor can give you a muscle relaxant to help break the tension spasm cycle.

computer guy posture. hunched over, neck out. now, upper back pains, also left side chest muscle sensations, stiffness. anxiety as well. what to do?

Stretch: If you have computer guy posture you may have homer simpson body habitus too.  Try stretching or working out.  Get some resistance bands and focus on scapular strengthening.  Try to improve your posture or evaluate your work station to make your posture better.

Chest pain: indicates a need for you to see your doc to rule out medical conditions.  Yes, anxiety can cause such symptoms but first see doc then see a mental health professional to learn to manage stress.  Peace and good health.
