i was on one generic  brand of lexapro (escitalopram) and i believe that when i changed pharmacies i was given  a different manufac now i'm experience side effects?

This happens: The FDA does not require the same standards from generics that it does with trade names.  In addition, there can be different fillers and binders so the formulation is not exactly the same.  If you were obtaining relief from a particular generic, ask for that manufacturer.   Ask your former pharmacy which brand they dispensed to you.

taking tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine.  changed pharmacy.  suppose to be  exact brand and dose. makes me feel dizzy and tired.  same drug. how could this be?

Many possibilities: "suppose to be" is not same as "exact same" if you get my drift. Generics can vary from brands & each other by 10% or so more or less. So that might cause your dizziness & feeling tired. Or you might have another concurrent condition going on. Check w/pharmacy to be sure you're getting same thing. Then check w/family doc to be sure nothing else going on.

Transfer Rx: Ask your doc to phone Rx to new store, or call new store and ask them to assist with transfer. Just be sure the new store is in your Rx plan

so i had a prescription sent to a pharmacy and this is the second time ive had to change my pharmacy because its closed due to the rioting and looting in my city. i still need the prescription but im not sure how to choose one thats open?

Understandable: But very honestly, the panel of physicians on this free, forum cannot possibly help you choose a pharmacy that is open. You'll have to call and figure that out on your own.

my pharmacy changed my sertraline manufacturer from greenstone to aurobindo. will i notice any differences? should i request to stay on greenstone?

Don't change if poss: Assuming that dose equivalent, you shouldn't notice any differences; again assuming that fillers also the same

the pharmacy changed the brand of bc pills i use. i've been on it for 2 months, but i now have thick clear discharge when starting a new pack. why?

Generic: The pharmacy probably gave you another generic product of the same medication.  It's normal to have clear or reddish/brownish discharge at the end of your period when starting a new pack of pills.  If the discharge smells bad, that's when you want to visit your doctor.

i started 20mg prozac 2 weeks ago. i got a new percription and the pharmacy has changed brands. is it possible i can get new side effects ? tiday i feel nauseous and hot

Maybe!: Call the doctor that prescribed the pill and discuss your symptoms.  New brands can have minor differences.  You could also have an infection. Check your temp.  Avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, or naprosyn when you have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain or on an empty stomach.  Take acetaminophen instead (only as directed on bottle).  If you get worse get seen at an Urgent Care or ER.

i will need to change my nuvaring while i'm on my vacation. i'm leaving before i can get a new one from the pharmacy. what are my options?

Call in: Contact your doctor and see if they will call in the prescription to a pharmacy where you are going and you can get it there.

will changing manufacturers change the effectiveness of alprazolam? the pharmacy made a change and i feel a little more anxious. still the same dosage

Maybe: Different generic medication manufacturers do not necessarily keep to exactly the same standard for their medications.  They adhere to the fdas "20% rule" which states that a generic medication needs to be within 20% of the efficacy of the name brand medication in order to call it bioequivalent.  Thus, your new meds could have slightly lower efficacy, though it is also possible to be reversed.
