The position of the occipital condyles in relation to the cervical spine gives feedback to the inner ear for balance. When the condyles are not aligned properly, this may lead to dizziness manifested as vertigo or imbalance.

Vertigo &amp; Neck Pain: Cervical spondylosis isn't commonly associated with vertigo. The vertebrobasilar circulation supplies the balance centers in the brain. Cervical osteophytes can press on the vertebral artery causing its occlusion during head turning. The most common complaint in patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency is vertigo. You should be evaluated by a neurologist and referred appropriately.

Possibly: You are very young to have cervical spondylosis, and if severe can cause vestibular problems and a sensory type of ataxia. Medical and surgical management can control some of the problems/symptoms.

Neck: Great question  cervical vertigo also called hairdresser syndrome is treated with physical therapy of the neck. See a neurologist may need MRI and they put you into rehab. Good luck

Very general: Spondylosis is a very general diagnosis and at your age would not be that significant.  If your pain is traveling down one or both arms and there is weakness, the next step is a MRI scan.  Most neck pain will resolve in time and with conservative care.  If you have had the problem for more than a few months and it is not improving then you need to see a specialist for a more specific diagnosis.

: Dizziness caused by neck pathology is often a tenuous and unsubstantiated diagnosis, and it is important to exclude central and vestibular problems as the cause.  A neurologist would be an excellent choice and would add that an otolaryngologist could provide audiological/ vestibular testing which could perhaps sort things out.  Persevere to uncover what is etiology.

The symptoms are in part due to osteoarthritis of the cervical spine, but more seriously due to damage to the spinal cord and its nerves.

Very Common: Spondylosis is basically a fancy term for wear and tear of the spine. We will all develop wear and tear over time and generally don't know it.  Spondylosis is seen on xrays or MRI as degeneration of the discs or joints of the spine.  It is often not painful but certainly can be. It is more common to see spondylosis as we age.
