constantly been checking cervix position for ovulation. expected 2/25. today realized some blood when i touched it. also took plan b 4 days ago. is the bleeding sign of pregnancy or from ec or from irritation?

: I guess you are about to have an early period after taking plan B. I wonder why you check your cervix for ovulation but you took plan B. If you do that for avoiding sex during ovulation time then you should use contraceptive method, i.e. condom, which is more reliable and it can prevent STDs. Take care!

had saline ultrasound yesterday. radiologist struggled with peculum.used wrong size first,switched to a smaller,then rotated it to finally access my cervix.no bleeding but feel slight irritation & burning in my vagina/inside.should i be worried? thx.

No: Since the priocedure was done less that 24 hours, it's too soon for an overt vaginal infection, vaginitis. Your symptoms appear to be a result of over manipulating the speculum which may have cause some vaginal abrasions. However, if your symptoms does not resolve within the next 1-2 days then see your doctor for an evaluation.

i recently had a cervical exam and got told i have a cervical ectropian however since this i have been bleeding for 2 weeks now should i be worried ?

Too long: 2 weeks is a long time...I would go back to the physician who did the pelvic exam for an evaluation sooner rather than later...Best advice is always to ask your doc at the time of evaluation to explain his/her findings...If you don't understand...Keep asking or get a second opinion...

Depends: I assume you have stopped having periods and now notice vaginal bleeding. You should consult with a gyn practitioner, since post-menopausal vaginal bleeding might signal a serious problem like cancer.
If you are still menstruating, and this is an unexpected time for a period, you might safely wait for a regular cycle, but should schedule with your FP or gyn practitioner.

No: Prolapse is when pelvic organs are dropping or falling from their normal position.  Bleeding issues and prolapse are not related.

Not likely: It's unlikely that the polyp will cause a miscarriage as they are usually small, but your doctor needs to check to be certain it's the cause of the bleeding.

Yes: If the cervix was left in, there can still be a small amount of uterine tissue remaining.  Its possible to have some bleeding.  If you still have your ovaries, the bleeding can be cyclic just like your period used to be.  It can be a bummer if you were expecting to be period-free.

Probably: It is very possible there will be a little bleeding associated.

it's been 15 days since i had cervical cryotherapy,  is it normal that i have been bleeding a little bit?

Accepted Answer

Yes: After the cryotherapy, the scab formed on the cervix will fall off and you will have a little bit of bleeding.  Give the cerivx about 4 weeks to heal before sex and call your doctor and make sure that they know these same facts.
