Depends: I assume you have stopped having periods and now notice vaginal bleeding. You should consult with a gyn practitioner, since post-menopausal vaginal bleeding might signal a serious problem like cancer. If you are still menstruating, and this is an unexpected time for a period, you might safely wait for a regular cycle, but should schedule with your FP or gyn practitioner.
