Patients requires emergent evaluation by an md  , cat scans and a plethora or other tests. At times, the clot is treated with blood thinners but not always.  Surgery is also an option. Depends: Everyone is different and a cerebral thrombosis or stroke is different in every person. An inpatient rehabilitation stay after a stroke can vary from 1-3 weeks in general. The length of stay for inpatient rehab is much shorter than it used to be in the past. This is being driven mainly by the insurance companies unfortunately.

Thrombosis of veins draining the brain presents with headaches, seizures, weakness.
