Well: Having cellulitis does not mean that you have breast cancer. However, peau d' orange is a breast appearance that can occur with inflammatory breast cancer. It is due to cutaneous lymphatic edema. Edema could occur with cellulitis or with inflammatory breast cancer.

i was diagnosed with facial cellulitis 3 days ago.in the past 24 hours a boil has popped up on my but and under right breast.n the past 6 hours i now have bumps on each leg.could that mean the facial cellulitis has progressed into mrsa or am i septic?

: Cellulitis can spread locally but it does not jump around the body. This does not sound like sepsis which is a systemic reaction to infection which often manifests with fever, elevated inflammatory markers, and vital sign abnormalities (rapid heart rate/respiratory rate, low blood pressure)

hi - a couple of days ago, i felt a nodule right at the top of my rib cage, a little lower than my breast area.  there was redness - like a bulls eye, but no tic and the area below the skin feels like a hard nodule.  someone suggested cellulitis

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It could be infection of a hair follicle, folliculitis. Try warm compresses. Do not try to pop it. If it bursts open, apply triple antibiotic cream, available over the counter. If it does not resolve in a week or so, or you get fever, or other nodules appear, see a doctor.

diagnosed with poison oak on arms and cellulitis on breast. given prednisone 50mg for 5 days and keflex for cellulitis. cellulitis cleared up. poison oak is dried up. still really red/ itchy. do i need to give it more time or do i need more  pills?

Time/moisturizer: The prednisone decreased the intensity of your itching and amount of spread, but when it dries out it just needs time to heal. The dry skin will also be flaky &amp; itchy .A moisturizer can help. Unless you have a return of redness, swelling  and warmth at the site of the infection it should be stable. I've seen it take a month for these to calm down &amp; look good. If it spooks you have a re check.

Breast cellulitis: This depends on what caused it. I've seen cellulitis from bug bites, skin cysts that became infected, nursing mothers usually with an abscess also, and severly obese women with 'panniculitis' of the breast, and occassionally it just happens in diabetics with poor sugar control.  Rarely inflammatory breast cancer mimicks cellulitis.

Yes: sharp pains in the breast after mastitis/cellulitis may be early sign of return of the infection
