I think so: That's quite of lot of disruption and irritation to your genitourinary system!  There's always the typical prediction for recovery, and then if any complications occur, the timetable is thrown off.  The spasms and frequency should slowly improve, and as long as you see progress, I wouldn't worry too much.  Call your Doctor with any questions. Stay well:)

Cause determination: large clots in the bladder will either dissolve and be voided out or can be evacuated cystoscopically.  The more important question is what caused the bleeding. Anyone with a large clot in the bladder should have a cystoscopy and possibly even imaging of their kidneys to determine the cause

Androgens: Anabolic steroids or any androgenic drug can induce bleeding in the GU tract.

Possibly: It's possible that this is from cancer, but unless i had more information, i would think from what you've said that it isn't.  More likely you have some residual injury from the procedure.  If it persists, please check in with your doctor.

Bleeding: You should not have bleeding if you have had a hysterectomy.  I would be concerned about a vaginal problem.  Get this checked.

i had a scan of my bladder three weeks ago and biopsies were taken, all negative
a week later they  cauterise the biopsie sites. ten day later i have a lot of blood and clots in my urine, i have taken a tranexamic tablet, but does not seem to work?

Bladder bleeding: The areas were cauterized so you should not be still bleeding and seeing lots of clots. This means that you are still bleeding. Please contact your urologist and let him-her know.

how do blood clots form in the bladder after a foley catheter is inserted?

Catheter trauma: As the Foley goes thru the urethra and into the bladder it can cause abrasions, leading to bleeding and clotting sometimes.  However, if it is being inserted for renal stones or a hemorrhagic cystitis or other renal issue, it may be unrelated to the Foley catheter.  Usually Foley trauma just causes the urine to be blood tinged temporarily.  Patients pulling and tugging on their Foley can do this.

Possible, but...: After stent removal, some irritation in peeing is expected but should ease to fade over 1-3 days. As to having clots in urine, it may last off and on until the healing of mucosa of ureter &amp; bladder is completed. If not fading away as usually expected, one still needs to rule out possible UTI. So, if bearable, just watch, wait, and see; if not, seek evaluation, care, &amp; counseling,

Notify urologist: Some urinary bleeding is not unusual and is not worrisome if it's light and clots don't interfere with urination. Drinking lots of fluids is helpful in this regard. Avoid aspirin or antiinflammatories like Aleve,Advil which can increase bleeding tendency. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is ok. However if bleeding persists,becomes heavy and there are large clots, you must notify your urologist.
