That's the: FRUSTRATING problem from biting your own lip.. it swells therefore is a "larger TARGET" for another Bite!
TRY COOL COMPRESSES with BAKING SODA one hour before eating to reduce the swelling!

No: The main causes of oral cancer are tobacco use, alcohol use, human papilloma virus and genetics.  Chronic sun exposure is also a risk factor for lip cancer.

Possibly yes: If you continue to bite your lip you are not likely to get cancer but it could happen.  The repeated trauma can cause inflammation and proliferation of the tissues in the area.  Over time things can change and you can progress through some of the stages and eventually get cancer, but that takes a long time.  Have it checked regularly and stop biting it.

Please share your problem with your parents and ask them to find help for you either from a Conseller or a psychologist. It is not uncommon to have such problem during teen years but there is medical help available. But you must seek help right away and not delay it.

See if this occurs less when you are doing something you enjoy and are familiar with , thus lessening anxiety. Might want to see a therapist to find ways to cope with the stress and anxiety.
