what could cause a tugging /stabbing/ burning sensation 3 inches above the belly button? i do have a history of crohn's and do not have my appendix.

Lots of things: It could be anything from gas to constipation.  The best way to find out for sure is to see your doctor.

over the past few weeks ive had a burning sensation going from under my breastbone to my belly button. i also feel really hungry, but when i try to eat, i immediately feel nauseous and full, which i believe has caused me to loose weight?

: Not sure what your question is. Your symptoms suggest gastroesophageal reflux or possibly a peptic ulcer. If you smoke, stop. If you drink alcohol, give up. If you are losing weight, you require a consultation with your physician.

Could it be stress?: When taken together, globus sensation ("feeling of a lump"), air swallowing with resulting belching, &amp; dry mouth/ throat are most consistent with stress/anxiety.  So can be your "gurgling noises &amp; pinching (poorly localized as described)." Managing your stress (&amp; reasons for same) may be your key to relief.  To be sure however get evaluated to rule out organic or motility disorders here.

Many things to coord: These are  many things  to coordinate and needs  to be evalauted  by your  physician. I am not  certain these are all related. One would  need to know your  total  medical health to help and your physician woudl  be the one to do that.I would look at your intestine, but also joints  like hip, neck, wrists, etc

about two months ago, i tumbled down a mountain with a round of firewood. significant bruise over most of outer side left calf. 1 month later, laid over street bike, the same area, same leg (calf). now, any pressure on calf causes burning sensation?

Yes: Burning and itching are common with hemorrhoids. Sitz baths and stool softeners can help.  If your symptoms persist, see your doctor.  You might benefit from steroid suppositories.

Hhmmm: Not very much comes to mind that can cause burning all over the body.  Some physicians might right this off as a psychiatric diagnosis.  So you may want to give a careful review of all symptoms and problems you may have.  For burning all over i would look for inflammation, toxins or neurologic issues at the level of the brain that would affect your perception body wide.

Tendinitis: Most times burning pain in the elbow w/out a history of trauma is tendinitis.Occ. The ulnar nerve(funny bone) can get irritated and cause burning pain esp.If your pinkie or ring finger get numb or tingle.Tendinitis responds to nsaids, rest from offending activities(power grip), ice massage etc. If no improvement see your orthopedic surgeon.
