should i stop drinking water just after urinating is it a bad habit to drink water just after urinating ? will it cause some disease?

: Hydration is very important. More often people do not drink enough. The goal is 80-100 ounces of water a day, and 8 ounces is 1 cup.  Up to 120 ounces if exercising. If drinking significantly more than this, serum sodium level can drop and this interfere with heart functioning.  Zgwt a water bottle that helps you keep track of how much you are drinking to guide your consumption:) Be Well!

Three Main Causes: 1. Overactive bladder, from several secondary causes (nerve problems, prostate problems, infection, bladder irritants) or just plain oab.
2. Overall increased urine production (diabetes, diuretics, brain injury etc.).
3. Increased nighttime urine production (sleep apnea, age, fluid retention).
Management focuses on finding an underlying problem.  In true oab, medicines to calm the bladder are used.

: Your symptoms sound like an irritation of the urethra,  I would suggest cranberry juice to relieve you irritation and increase your water intake.  Follow up with your PCP or urologist for help.  I doubt this is related to IBS or celiac disease.

Recessive defect: Msud is an inherited defect in in metabolism.This results when two asymptomatic carrier parents give their fetus a defective gene. After birth, the baby will lack an enzyme needed to break down branch chained protein structures.These build up in the blood ; spill into the urine producing the characteristic odor.The parents are unaffected because a single copy of the normal gene do the  work.

Possibly diabetes: To my knowledge, uncontrolled diabetes might also cause this, but i would expect the person to also have weight loss, and frequent urination besides just a sweet smell to the urine.

Part of disease: Maple syrup urine disease is caused by a genetic defect in metabolism of the Amino Acids Valine, leucine, and isoleucine. The urine smells like maple syrup but the defect causes CNS  symptoms from lethargy to encephalopathy, seizures and mental retardation. There is protein intolerance due to the Amino Acid disturbances.

Losing weight: Ketones in the urine are usually a sign of dieting or losing weight. In the absence of glucose in the urine it has nothing to do with diabetes.

Urine snell: It may be a urinary tract infection which can easily be diagnosed by your pmd. It may also be bacterial vaginosis which is characterized by a fishy smell. It is more likely in women who:  have more than one sex partner or have a new sex partner. Smoke. Douche.  This is also easy to test for and treat.

Yes: Elevated white cells in the urine do not specifically mean urinary tract infection. The urine can have elevated white cells associated with other problems. For example: appendicitis, pelvic infection, diverticulitis or other inflammatory conditions inside the body can elevate white cells in the urine. If you are having abdominal pain get checked.
