Ischemic bowel: Belly pain, bloody stools, shock.  AF may have no Sx. Most common would be irregular heart  beats. Do they think he flipped an embolous from Atria to bowel artery?

Infect and vasc: Infection associated with vascular problem.  Low bowel blood flow, clots, circulating anticoagulant, autoimmune disease, medication effect all need to be considered.

For patient safety: Ischemic bowel means the blood flow to the bowel is decreased enough to cause symptoms; in this case, surgery was needed to remove affected bowel. Reconnecting the bowel was considered too risky by the surgeon, who placed a stoma for the patient's safety. The patient's recuperation and general medical status will affect whether the stoma can be closed or will be permanent.

Yes.: White matter changes frequently seen on brain MRI are the result of chronic small vessel ischemic disaease and it is the resulting small focus of gliosis that shows on the MRI imaging.  Treating your underlying cardiovascular heath is key, not the MRI finding.

In diabetics presentation might be different.

if i have cardiac failure, ischaemic heart disease and diabetes as chronic conditions. what could be the cause for the small blisters on my lower legs?

DM/ LE blisters: Could be due to poor perfusion of the lower extremities from diabetes and ischemia, Did anyone do an ABI ( ankle brachial index ) to see if there is less perfusion of the lower extremity? are they cold? mottled/ loss of hair? May also be eczema, fungus. But diabetics  have to be careful about their feet so f/u/ w/ podiatrist/ doctor.

when you have scotoma develop in one eye only and the patient has a pituitary adenoma, takes plaquenil, (hydroxychloroquine) and has ischemic microvascular disease, can you tell which one most likely caused the scotoma?

Ischemia. : Monocular ischemia most likely causes shots a in one eye.  Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) and pituitary adenoma causes symmetrical bilateral schotoma.
