Exam needed: This expanding lump warrants an examination as soon as possible as it could be an abscess, infected salivary or inflamed/infected lymph gland or even a hematoma from bleeding.. Go to the hospital emergency room for prompt evaluation and treatment. Cataflam and voltaren are the same molecule or medication.

i have a pain in my left shoulder. right at the top of my shoulder. started last night and just getting worse. not sore the whole time only when i move my arm sideways. took cataflam and rubbed voltaren gel but no relieve at all. should i be worried?

15mg mobic 1x daily and topical voltaren 4x daily arent quite working that well, would you expect 75mg oral diclofenac sodium twice a day to be alot better? would it be more dangerous to use? never drink. drink water. no soda, some coffee?

: I would not expect it to be better. In a study by Valat, Meloxicam and diclofenac were equivalent in relieving the acute pain associated with osteoarthritis of the lumbar spine. However, meloxicam was much better tolerated. Meloxicam has more COX2 properties making it safer.  These two drugs are like comparing a fugi apple to a honeycrisp apple. They are slightly different but still apples.

is it ok to give voltaren (diclofenac sodium) suppository in addition to tylenol if fever doesnt go down in a 5 year old. she cant take ibuprofen.

I would never: This medication is not approved for use in pediatric patients fr any reason. As such, the medication may be more risky than allowing the fever to run its course. Fever is a normal body response that allows increased circulation &amp; antibody response during illness. As long as the kid is well hydrated it is not a real threat.
