No: by definition the issues of CTS are at the site where the nerves enter through the wrist (carpal) bones. Abnormalities in the further up the arm may have some shared symptoms, but it would not be called CTS.

Carpal tunnel: I would doubt that the discomfort in the back of your shoulder is caused by carpal tunnel syndrome unless hand and finger symptoms are placing strain on your shoulder even if an EMG reveals carpal tunnel problems. You may have a shoulder tendonitis. A shoulder and neck xray is worthwhile to look for bone pathology or arthritis if neckpain Another opinion from an orthopedic specialist is worthwhile

No: Upper arm pain after ct surgery of any type is not normal
my be a result of the type of anesthesia ( block) or from the tourniquet place on your arm.
If it doesn't resolve in a few weeks be sure to discuss it with your surgeon at your next post-op followup.

Recheck: Carpal tunnel syndrome will not cause numbness in the upper arm or leg. You need to be reevaluated.

Doesnt sound like it: Doesnt sound like it but it can  be par to f the presentation or differential.  A nerve study/emg may be helpful unless its an obvious case of not being so.

Never: Cts does not cause your arms to go numb.  There must be another reason, i.e. Toc or cervical in origin are but a couple of sources.

i have carpal tunnel syndrome.when i do carpal tunnel exercises for it my veins my arms bulge out a lot.why is this?how can i stop the bulging veins.

Don't stop them!: Therapy directed at the wrist and hands causes increased blood flow to the wrist and hands.  If your veins didn't expand to transport all this extra blood back to your heart, then your hands would swell up and become painful.  So what you're describing is a sign of an intact, functional circulatory system.  Continue the recommended therapy and be proud of your working vascular system.

Carpal tunnel: Yes definitely it can make the arm feel weak compared to the normal side

See details: With long term compression you can end up with permanent damage to the median nerve and weakness and numbness of the hand. Try splinting you wrist at night.
