Problematic: Sinced there is no FDA approval or standard enforced it can depend where you got it.  They ran a program on 60 minutes and named many of the stores that are selling empty pills.  Use a search engine to find this episode.  If you really do not need it you may want to avoid supplements in general since they consistently make others money but the buyers are no better for it. Acetyl-L-Carnitine: I don't expect that there will be any issues with you taking 1950mg. Normal dosing for several conditions is up to 4000mg per day. To be sure that it won't specifically have a problem in your body, i would still discuss this with your personal physician.

Calories burned must &gt; calories consumed.

This is done by better and smarter nutrition and exercise.
