Cardiospasm?: This is not a medical term so i'm not sure what you have, but if you mean "coronary artery spasm, "  the treatment is calcium channel blockers and nitrates.

Temporary narrowing: Temporary narrowing of blood vessel to heart causing  obstruction  of blood flow and chest pain.  Usually resolves with nitroglycerine.  The condition is called prinzmetal angina and is diagnosed by abnormal ekg showing st segment elevation when you are having chest pain but resolved within a few minutes, .

Chest pain: "cardiospasm" usually refers to spasm of the esophagus, which can produce chest pain very similar to the pain of a heart attack. It is often a diagnosis only made when heart attack has been ruled out by testing. Clues can be trouble swallowing or relation of the pain to meals.  It is wiser to be safe than sorry and be checked promptly.

i have rare autoimmune disease achalasia. will getting the pfizer or moderna covid-19 vaccine cause any issue for my immune system.  i do not take any immune medications. thank you?

You should.: The vaccination is unlikely to affect the issue of achalasia. There are minor side effects like headache and slight inflammation at site of injection like you would with Influenzae vaccines but it is unlikely to make the Achalasia worse. There are very few reported serious side effects but not because of achalasia, they were unpredictable serious reaction.

Yes: You should be able to work with achalasia. If the symptoms are extreme, however, this may not be the case.

Accepted Answer

Swallowing disorder: Achalasia is a disorder of the muscles of the esophagus leading to swallowing problems.  It usually has two components: 1) failure of propulsive ("peristaltic") contraction of the muscles of the body of the esophagus; and 2) failure to relax of the lower esophageal sphincter (the outlet of the esophagus into the stomach).  Both lead to obstructive symptoms and gradual dilation of the esophagus.

Achalasia: This is a narrowing of the esophagus which can be very painful.  Sometimes it can be treated by dilating the esophagus to reduce the pain and narrowing.  You should see a gastroenterologist for further treatment.

No: You would need to see a gastroenterologist/gi doctor and get an egd done(a video camera with a long flexible tube down the throat) to evaluate further.  Sometimes it is treated with Botox injections.
